Convergence The convergent potential of KikiTVisuoSonic was demonstrated in a performance with SB Brass in the Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain, Liège. In an immersive environment consisting of multiple screens and surround sound, SB Brass and Owen shaped KikiTVisuoSonic images in real-time by performing freeform jazz improvisations and classical and modern pieces arranged for brass orchestra. The KikiT visuals included live video-morphing of Picasso, Gauguin, and Ensor paintings in the MAMAC collection. Spontaneous Collaborations KikiTVisuoSonic has also initiated a ‘found sonic artist’ ethic whereby artists in the area in which it is performing are invited to contribute to the performance. At the Technarte: Art and Technology Conference in Bilbao, Spain, a singer contributed sonic elements. At the Interactive Futures Conference in Victoria, Canada, a drummer using an electronic kit created VisuoSonic imagescapes. |
